i am a lover of heels, and i needed a flat, general-purpose boot that i could wear with jeans (tucked in or worn over) and tights. this is the perfect boot, i love the military-esque style and rubber sole. the inside is extremely soft and it's also a light tan, which is nice because if you happen to wear lighter coloured socks they won't get blackened! they are a little big around the calf on me when i wear them with tights, so i just add a leg warmer or big wool sock and it makes this boot more casual and chic.

I was very excited of getting this pair of boots, and when I got them I was pleased to see they looked exactly as in the pictures shown in the website. I normally buy shoes #8, however I decided to follow other reviews about the 1/2 size difference: 7 1/2 worked very nicely with me. I have big calf so this boot fitted pretty tightly. Although I'm not impressed with the rubber sole (I'm positive it'll wear off quickly) and the lack of arch support, I think this boot overall looks very nice and stylish.
